On July 24, 2015, the North American Resource Center for Child Welfare (NARCCW) awarded CAP Faculty Director Elizabeth Bartholet the 2015 Pro Humanitate Child Advocacy Award at the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (APSAC) 2015 Annual Colloquium in Boston, Massachusetts.
The award is given to a child welfare professional in law, medicine, journalism, social work, nursing, or psychology who has demonstrated a lifelong commitment to advocacy for maltreated children. Bartholet earned the award for her life’s work and her recent article exposing the dangers inherent in Differential Response, child welfare’s latest reform effort: Differential Response: A Dangerous Experiment for Child Welfare, 42 Fla.
