Procedures to Cross-Register:

To cross-register for CAP classes, please refer to the Harvard University Cross Registration site to create and submit your cross-registration petition.  Contact the Harvard Law School Registrar’s Office with any questions.

Keep in mind that the only grading option for Harvard Law School courses is ordinal/letter.  The HLS grading system is H, P, LP and F (Honors, Pass, Low Pass, and Fail).  Contact your Home School’s Registrar’s Office for information about how this course and the grade will appear on your official transcript.

Cross-registration requests will be approved by course instructors in the order in which they are received.  Once approved—and if there is space available—the HLS Registrar’s Office will admit you and send you an email that you have been enrolled.  If the course is oversubscribed, the HLS Registrar will put your name on the waitlist.  You are not enrolled in the course until you receive email notification from the HLS Registrar.  Students are admitted on a first-come, first-served basis.

All enrolled students need access to the course iSite.  After receiving a notice that you are enrolled, it will take the HLS ITS office at least 3-5 days to process your information and give you access to the course iSite at http://myhls.harvard.edu/.  Important course announcements and assignmentswill be posted on the course iSite, so make sure you can access it.  If you received an email from the HLS Registrar that you are enrolled in the course and you are still having problems, contact the ITS Student Help Desk (617-495-9576), located in the basement of WCC RM B020.

Students enrolled in a course can drop the course by following the add/drop procedures at their Home School.
